Description

An HF transceiver kit from AE9RB but designed by the Free and Open Source amateur radio community, constructed and working on 17m, 15 & 10. But you choose to change the output BPF for 160m, 80m/40m, 40m/30m/20m, 30m/20m/17m or 17m/15m/10m bands.

4.7 out of 5 on eHam.net; https://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/10690

I built the kit with the plan to use it as an IF driver for transverters (using 10m) but have since gone in another direction.

Highlights: http://ae9rb.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=8

  • No sound card needed.
  • 48kHz 24-bit digital I/Q interface.
  • 48kHz 24-bit stereo speaker
  • 48kHz 12-bit microphone.
  • 1 watt transmitter.
  • Softrock control interface (HDSDR, PowerSDR etc etc).
  • Open Source firmware.
  • SWD/JTAG port.

No cables supplied with the SDR – I have not use it for a few months, but a quick test on 10m shows it is working.
